Poor leadership

On Friday evening fire gutted down houses at
Mukuru kwa njenga slums due to an electric
fault. Over 300 families were affected by the fire
that destroyed homes and properties not only to
fire but some which were stolen by criminals.
It's shocking that none of the leaders from
county has spoken about the issue yet during
election times they don't go to estates to
campaign but rather to slums where real voters
stay.Fire fighters from the county government
failed to contain the situation in time due to bad
roads to access the affected area and lack of
faster response within the prone area to
infernos.
As we celebrated Mashujaa Day it really pains
that still there is a class of people who are not
only sided in terms of facilities distribution but
also forgotten. At this cold time to our brothers
and sisters at mukuru kwa njenga I'll provide my
support to the affected people.
As a Nation vision party leader I'll use my
position to remind both levels of government that
people at slums too deserve good facilities both
in good and bad times not only during election
period is when we remember those people at
slums.
Lastly jubilee govt should put more energy in
enhancing affordable and secure housing units in
all slums to avoid cases of fire that destroys
property. The govt can't specialize in
demolishing houses instead of building affordable
houses for our people.
Let's change our leadership styles from rhetoric
to action leadership.
